Things are under way

Hi,

So this is exciting, things are finally getting started! Everyone should be placed in a site and if you haven't started by now then you will start this week or early next week.

This time of the semester really is important and exciting, because so much is going on...
- starting at the sites
*learning about your student
*learning about how to tutor properly
*getting to know the tutors are your site, use them as a resource, they know your school, and know the program.

AND

-Education 506 is starting!!!!!!
*The class will meet one hour one day a week.
*3-4 on Mondays or 7-8 on Tuesday
*The class will run for seven weeks starting next week on the 23rd.

I am so excited to start the class!!! I can't wait to talk to everyone about their tutoring sessions! I look forward to the discussions we will have about the required reading of TEACHER MAN, by Frank McCourt. I have started the book, and it is really interesting, and I hope it will generate a lot of comments and good conversations.

Please....don't hesitate to contact me with any issue. I love to hear about the positive things that are happening in your program, but am here to solve any problems that might occur along the way. The program could not run without you, and we want this to be an enjoyable experience for everyone!

If you haven't signed up for Ed506 it isn't too late. We need numbers, so we can order books, but if you are interested please let me know.
