WELCOME BACK!

HELLO!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful vacation! Of course it figures that the snow would hold out until after vacation, just in time for everyone to walk to classes freezing... Bundle up and take the trek to the Seacoast Reads office in Morrill room 5!When you are here you can pick up an application, drop off an application, drop off books from last semester, get information about training sessions, or just warm up before walking to your next class.

The beginning of the semester is exciting, becuase it is when we get to mix the old with the new. If you are new the program we welcome you, if you are a returnee, we are so happy to see you again! Of course here is some more information...
Returning Tutors:
If you would like to coordinate a site, and haven't done so in the past please let me know. If you were a site coordinator last semester, more than likely you wil be again this semester. Let me know if you do not want this responsibility again. Since you have tutored in the past you are set to tutor as soon as we get the sites organized. Be on the look out for a lengthy e-mail with your tutoring destinations!

New Comers:
If you haven't filled out an application please do so, and if you have already turned in an application then I will be e-mailing you soon about training times. If you don't hear from me soon please e-mail me! I might have missed your name on the e-mail list or I could have forgotten something completely. You will have to finish two hours of training before you will be able to tutor. This is important to remember. If you have done part of the training last semester, I have that all written down, so just let me know if you can't remember.

Everyone:
Some things to keep in mind as the semester goes on...
Education 506 is going to start the beginning of March. This is a one credit class that is offered only to Seacoast Reads Tutors. It meets one hour one day a week. It is a fun time, and the students have a lot of fun hanging out and talking about thier tutoring.
Please utilize all of the material that is available to you in our office, but please return it when you are done. Please if you have books from last semester it isn't too late to turn them in. We want them back!
Be on the look out for another e-mail coming your way from me, but if you want to get in touch with me before then, please don't hesitate!
